We are using this blog to discuss and share the best technologies classrooms should have. Sometimes we can't get exactly what we want in our classrooms due to funding. There are grants that can be applied for and and a little bit of money coming through CIS yearly. For this blog, lets assume that money is no problem. What piece(s) of technology do you think is the most important and/or useful in a classroom of any age? Leave your comments!
I think Smart Boards have enhanced the classroom learning experience for students of any age. The great thing about a Smart Board is how interactive and easy to use it is. Teachers can trust the technology and many different functions of the board to work properly and students can easily and effectively cooperate with the lesson.
ReplyDeleteI would like for my students to have access to IPads in my classroom. They could be especially useful in centers. Children learn best when they are engaged. There are many educational apps out there to accomodate.
ReplyDeleteI would think Classroom clickers would be very beneficial to students at any age. The clickers allow students to be interactive in the classroom, help them stay engaged with the material that is being taught, and make learning fun. They would also allow students to attempt to answer questions without the humiliation that may come from getting an incorrect answer
ReplyDeleteThe most important technology is for students to have individually access to computers, tablets, ipads, or laptops, depending on the age and subject area. Using a computer lab is not adequate anymore. Students need daily access to the same equipment.
